The Health Coaching Process

  1. Coaching sessions are conducted via either a telehealth video platform or by phone. Depending on your needs and desires we meet every other week or so for 6 to 12 sessions over the course of 3 to 6 months.

  2. In the initial session (75-90 minutes) we will focus on your expectations regarding your coaching experience, explore your assessment of your current health using the Vanderbilt Wheel of Health, create your wellness vision and identify one action step (a small step towards your health goal) that you can take immediately and incorporate into your life.

  3. During the second session (60-75 minutes) we will create your 3 to 6 month S.M.A.R.T. HEALTH GOALS (Specific, Measurable, Action-Oriented, Realistic and Time-bound). We will also start coaching around your health goal of choice and set action steps to implement before our next session.

  4. Between sessions 2 and 3 I will provide you with a written, personalized Health and Wellness Plan

  5. During our 3rd and subsequent sessions (40-45 minutes each) we will review your successes from the previous session, explore obstacles or challenges, coach around your health goals of choice and set new action steps to keep moving towards your desired health goals

Health coaching is for you when:

  • You seek a better life balance promoting joy, tranquility and well-being

  • You want to sleep better, manage stress, implement an exercise plan, lose weight, increase your energy or develop a stronger sense of connection with others in your community

  • You have a  chronic health condition like excess weight, diabetes, or cardiovascular disease and want to improve your quality of life and lower your health risks

  • Your doctor has given you medical advice regarding losing weight by eating better, exercising or reducing the stress in your life but you don’t know where to start

Health coaching is NOT:

  • Psychotherapy or counseling

  • Medical advice, although with your permission I can collaborate with your Health Care Team

Session 3 + $75/session
